Scandal: Elisabetta Canalis, pictured with George Clooney at the Oscars in March, has been named in a cocaine probe

Hollywood heart throb George Clooney's Italian girlfriend is at the centre of a cocaine probe, it was reported yesterday.

Elisabetta Canalis, 31, has been dating Clooney for a year and there are rumours that they are due to tie the knot this weekend at his lake side villa.

According to statements leaked to Italian newspaper Corriere Della Sera and La Repubblica newspaper she is alleged to have been seen snorting cocaine twice at a Milan nightspot The Club which is now under investigation.

Karima Menad, 26, said to be a wannabe model from Paris, who turned to prostitution after failing to find fame in Milan, told prosecutor Frank Di Maio: 'I remember taking cocaine with Elisabetta Canalis and two others.

'We were in The Club and it was December 2007. We had been at a party of some famous, rich celebrity whose name I cannot remember. I don't remember who brought the drugs but we all took it.'

Reports said that Menad had given her testimony in 2008 and that it had emerged after prosecutor Di Maio used it as part of his official request to have the owners of the club held in custody while the probe continued.

Besides The Club another famous Milan nightspot Hollywood is also under investigation by prosecutors after clients were secretly filmed by police taking drugs in the toilets both are favoured by the Italian jet set as well as passing high profile VIPs including David Beckham.

Wedding rumours: The couple in Canalis's native Italy earlier this month

Yesterday a spokesman for SMI, Canalis's management agency said: 'We have no comment to make on this,' while prosecutor Di Maio did not return calls.

Prosecutors are also investigating allegations that a call girl ring operated out of both clubs with some girls possibly being minors.

Among other high profile Italian celebrities linked to the probe is stunning model and TV presenter Belen Rodriguez.

She has cultivated a 'squeaky clean image' but according to statements in the investigation was also seen taking cocaine.

It's dirty work! Rosie Huntington-Whiteley rolls around in the rubble on Transformers 3 set

Down and dirty: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was seen lying on a pile of rubble as she filmed a scene in the new Transformers film in Chicago yesterday

Acting can be dirty work, just ask Transformers 3 star Rosie Huntingdon-Whiteley.
The model-turned actress was seen lying on a pile of rubble on the Chicago set of the new film yesterday.

Wearing a white hoodie and skinny grey jeans, the 23-year-old star looked rather dishevelled on the set which resembled a disaster scene.

Dishevelled: The British model looked dirty and unkempt

And her co-star Shia LaBeouf, 24, also looked like he had got into a few scrapes, with his face cut and smeared with dirt.

Little has been revealed about the plot, although director Michael Bay has said that the Chicago footage will be featured at the end of the film.

'The city is under alien attack so it's very critical and important to the film's climax,' he told The Chicago Sun Times.

And it seems the heroes of the film - Shia's character Sam and his love interest, played by Rosie, will have even more of a struggle defending the world from the bad robots.

Coffee break: A battered Shia LeBeouf grabs a drink in between takes

'The people in this movie have very few people coming to help them this time,' said the director.

'I like to think of it as the Black Hawk Down version of Transformers - it's much more intimate in terms of what's happening.

'Something bad is happening to America - and this is at the very end of the movie.'

The third film is thought to be the last in the franchise which is a reboot of the much-loved Eighties kids' cartoon in which cars and other vehicles can change, or transform, into robots.

New love: Rosie replaced Megan Fox as Shia's love interest in the film

The film began shooting in Los Angeles before moving to Chicago. It is said to then be heading to Florida, Milwaukee, Indiana and then back to LA.

Rosie was signed up to star after Megan Fox decided to opt out.

The third movie also sees the addition of Patrick Dempsey, John Malkovich and Frances McDormand to the cast.

Transformers 3 is due in cinemas next summer.

Hasn't he grown up! Shirtless Zac Efron shows off his toned body on the set of his new film

Toned: Zac Efron showed off his buff physique on a behind-the-scenes featurette for his new movie Charlie St. Cloud

He shot to fame as a teenage heart throb on hit Disney film High School Musical.

But Zac Efron is looking very much the grown up in new pictures which feature the star behind the scenes of his new film Charlie St Cloud.

The 22-year-old star showed he clearly spends a lot of time working out at the gym as he revealed his toned chest and biceps.

Six pack: The star has come a long way since his High School Musical days

The pictures are from a video featurette from new movie Charlie St Cloud where Zac explains a scene he filmed in a massive underground tank.

'It takes up pretty much the whole stage,' Zac says. 'Underwater, there’s this system, but you can actually hear voices underwater! I have no idea how it works.'
'It’s a lot of stuff you wouldn’t have to expect to have to deal with.

'When there’s elements involved like swimming through murky water, getting a certain piece of your vest snagged, very precise movements, it’s hard to hold your breath.'

Water baby: Zac Efron dons a harness as he prepares to enter the water

In the film, Zac plays a teenager who has to choose between keeping a promise he made to his brother, who died in a car accident, or trying to get the girl he loves.

Since the end of High School Musical, Zac has taken on a variety of different roles, including comedy 17 Again and drama Me And Orson Welles.

In fact, Zac was so determined to take his career in a new direction, he is said to have turned down the lead role in the remake of 1980s movie Footloose to star in Charlie St. Cloud.

Diving in: Zac braved the elements to play the role of Charlie St Cloud

Splashdown: The actor had to film scenes in a massive underwater tank

‘It's just something different. I just knew what I had to do personally and that was slow down and really do something that was a challenge,’ he said at the film's Los Angeles premiere.

'I wanted to do something that was really hard, see how far I can go,' he added.

'It feels more suspenseful, mysterious and supernatural. It is a much more emotional role.

'I hope it serves as a memorable transition into older, more complex characters.'

Katy Perry is a technicolour dreamboat in PVC underwear

Bright and bold: Katy Perry shows off her enviable figure in PVC underwear in new promotional pictures for her new album, Teenage Dream

She has never been one to fade into the background.

And Katy Perry certainly stands out in the promotional pictures from her new album, 'Teenage Dream.'

Wearing a bright blue wig and PVC underwear, the 25-year-old singer is likely to achieve a place in the thoughts of adolescent boys everywhere, as the album title suggests.

In another photo Perry, wearing a cropped tasselled T-shirt with her home state California emblazoned on the front and leather hot-pants, she looks like a hippy Barbie of the future.

She even shows off the upper arm tattoo that matches her fiancé Russell Brand's.
When talking about the making of the album, which was done with the help of mega-star producers such as Dr Luke and Max Martin, Perry suggests that she had to fight to get what she wanted.

'I'm in the studio fighting with them to change the melody, or I'm fighting for the best lyric at all times,' she said in a recent interview with Billboard.

'I think we rewrote "Teenage Dream" five times for 10 days straight. On the last day, I was so happy to finally get somewhere that we all agreed on.'

Hippy chic: The California Gurls singer combines flowers in her hair with leather hot pants

Of her upcoming nuptials to Brand and subsequent bachelorette party, Katy's best friend, singer Rihanna, said: 'It’s so much pressure. Her wedding is probably going to be the best wedding I’ll ever go to and now I have to match the bachelorette party to that.'

'It’s taking up way more time than my tour,' Rihanna laughed to Access Hollywood.

Rihanna suggested: 'I could have balloons and Disney characters there and she’ll still make it wild. That’s just Katy Perry. There’s no way around that with her.'

Perry and Brand, 35, became engaged on a Christmas holiday to India last year and are expected to wed later this year.

Angelina Jolie shows off her stunning legs in split-to-the-thigh dress at Salt premiere in Tokyo (shame about the veiny arms)

Walking tall: Angelina Jolie and her never-ending legs hit the red carpet for the premiere of Salt in Tokyo today

As she confidently strode onto the red carpet, to all intents and purposes Angelina Jolie was the epitome of Hollywood glamour.

The 35-year-old actress caused a frenzy at the Tokyo premiere of her new movie Salt, wearing a flowing black Versace chiffon dress, slashed provocatively to the hip and showing off her stunning legs.

However on closer inspection, the revealing outfit laid bare here sinewy arms, which were lined with bulging veins, suggesting the star had, perhaps, been working a little too hard at the gym.

Wearing her hair in a stylish updo, the svelte celeb teamed the backless design - which revealed her many tattoos - with a pair of towering heels.

The effect drew even more attention to her never-ending legs, but up close her many fans could not have failed to have noticed her Madonna-like arms.

Hollywood glamour: The star looked stunning in the design which she teamed with towering peep-toe heels

The assembled throng of fans waited hours in the sweltering 35C heat and humidity just to catch a glimpse of the star.

Angelina attended the Tokyo International Forum for the Japanese premiere of Salt and by the time she arrived at 7pm local time (11am BST), the hundreds of supporters erupted into deafening screams as she began signing autographs.

Over the weekend Angelina, who has six children with her long-term boyfriend Brad Pitt, was in Russia promoting the movie, in which she plays a woman called Evelyn Salt, a CIA agent who is accused of being a KGB spy and then goes on the run.

Oh dear: But the revealing outfit showed off the actress's veiny, Madonna-like arms, suggesting she had been working out a little to hard at the gym

Dress slashed to the hip: The backless design showed off her many tattoos. Jolie plays a secret agent in the spy thriller

Today she brushed off rumours about shaky relations with Pitt, 46.

'He was just a wonderful father,' she said of Pitt, during work on the film. 'He often brought the children to the set,' she added.

'They played with fake blood, and they found mommy very strange in her different hair,' she said.

Pitt and Jolie have been partners since they began a relationship while working on the 2005 film Mr & Mrs Smith.

Meet and greet: The assembled crowed erupted into a fervour as the star made her entrance

Last week, Pitt and Jolie accepted undisclosed damages in London's High Court to settle a privacy claim against a News of the World article that had reported in January that they were planning to split.

Asked about her ability to work and maintain a happy family, Jolie told reporters at a Tokyo hotel: 'Brad is the word that makes it possible.'

Jolie, who arrived yesterday, brought four of the children along on the Japan trip. They have already spent some time shopping for toys inspired by Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki's animation characters Ponyo and Totoro, she said.

Going wild: The assembled throng take photos of Jolie as she signs autographs - while security staff help to contain the fans

She acknowledged she once surprised her eight-year-old son Maddox with her disguise as a male naval officer in Salt.

He came into the room and reluctantly shook hands with the person he did not know was his mother.

'And I said, 'Honey, it's mommy,'' Jolie said.

'I think I freaked him out,' she said with a laugh, adding that he then watched her peel off her fake ears, hands and nose.

'I play these roles, but I'm always in every minute their mom first,' she said. 'I'm a bit of a goofy. I'm funny at home, I think.'

Her children are not going to be seeing the movie, however.

'I think it's very hard for them to see someone trying to kill their mom, even if she wins,' she said

Shiloh Nouvel is the image of her father, Pitt the younger

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFtzk-lDub0endofvid
[starttext]

By Sarah Bull and Eleanor Shipton

Daddy's girl: There's no mistaking the genetics of four-year-old Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt

Their parents want them to enjoy all the fun of a normal childhood.

But with two of Hollywood's biggest stars as mum and dad, the Jolie-Pitt youngsters might find it hard to avoid a sprinkling of stardust themselves.

Four-year-old Shiloh Jolie-Pitt certainly looked every inch a screen idol as she walked through a Japanese airport yesterday, hand-in-hand with mother Angelina Jolie, and adopted 'rainbow family' siblings Maddox, eight, and Pax, six, and five-year-old Zahara

But with her cropped blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes, it was dad Brad Pitt who she most resembled.

Miss Jolie, 35, has spoken of her daughter's tomboy tendencies, discussing Shiloh's request that her parents crop her blonde hair and referring to her daughter's dress-sense as 'Montenegro style'.

She told Vanity Fair magazine last month: 'It's how people dress there. She likes tracksuits, she likes suits.

'She likes to dress like a boy. She wants to be a boy. So we had to cut her hair. She likes to wear boys' everything. She thinks she's one of the brothers.'

Stylish: Angelina Jolie and her children (left to right) Maddox, Zahara, Pax and Shiloh walk through New Tokyo International Airport in Narita after arriving in Japan this morning

Trendy: All four children appear to have different styles, while their mother looks effortlessly stylish in a black silk dress and beige flip flops

And Shiloh's attempts to emulate her brothers have extended to demanding that her family calls her John at all times.

She has answered only to this for nearly a year because of her love of the story of Peter Pan (in the book by JM Barrie, John is Wendy's younger brother).

'We've got to call her John,' Brad Pitt revealed, noting that when he started to ask, 'Shi, do you want...' she would interrupt with: 'John. I'm John.'

The actor, shown below, added: 'I'll say, "John, would you like some orange juice?" And she goes, "No!"'

The children were accompanying their mother on a promotional tour for her new action thriller, Salt, which marks her return to work after an 18-month break to look after her family.

'Montenegro style': Angelina said recently that Shiloh always likes dressing as a boy, so she kits her out as 'a little dude'

Looking trendy in a variety of smart outfits, Maddox, Pax, Shiloh and Zahara clung to their mother's hand as they walked through Japan's New Tokyo International Airport in Narita yesterday morning.

And despite having to control four children on her own, Angelina looked the picture of calm as she strolled through the airport in a fashionable black silk dress and tan flip flops.

The only time the 35-year-old actress gave any hint of the stress she may have been feeling was when she told eight-year-old Maddox off for apparently hitting his younger brother.

However, there were some absences from the group as they walked through the airport - namely Angelina's partner Brad Pitt and their two-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox

Giggles all round: The children can't stop smiling as they share a joke with their Hollywood star mother

It is thought Brad is looking after the youngsters while Angelina travels the world promoting her new action movie Salt.

But the 46-year-old actor is there in spirit, it seems - if only to influence his children's way of dressing.

While Pax appears to be attempting to emulate Brad's style in a cool beige linen suit and flat cap, Maddox seems to be going for an altogether more trendy look in a white vest, black trousers and white trainers.

And Shiloh and Zahara both went for a summery look in yellow - with Zahara wearing a white top and white shorts accessorised with a bright yellow cardigan, and Shiloh teaming her beige trousers with a a pale lemon T-shirt.

Accidents: Maddox hits Pax's face as they mess around, but the action doesn't go down too well with Angelina

Discipline: Angelina tells Maddox off after hitting Pax, while Shiloh looks entirely disinterested by the situation

The actress recently spoke about son Maddox, the first child she adopted, and the twins.

She added to Vanity Fair magazine: 'Maddox is a real intellectual, which I can take no credit for genetically. He's great at school, great at history.

'He feels like he could be a writer or travel the world and learn about places and things.

'The twins are a classic boy and girl. She's really female. And he's really a little dude.'

On Sunday night, Angelina attended the Salt premiere in Moscow, Russia, looking stunning in a red halterneck dress.

In the film, released in the UK this week, Angelina plays a woman called Evelyn Salt, a CIA agent who is accused of being a KGB spy and then goes on the run.

The OC's Rachel Bilson battles her heartbreak with some major retail therapy

Bag lady: Rachel Bilson gamely lugged two huge bags herself in Los Angeles yesterday but friends pitched in to help carry the rest

What's a girl to do after her engagement is called off? Go shopping of course!
The OC star, 28, indulged in a blow-out retail therapy session with some pals in Los Angeles yesterday.

Loaded down with bags, the actress roped in her friends to lug the rest of her purchases as the group walked around the downtown fashion district.

Moneybags: Rachel digs into her Chanel purse during her extensive shopping trip

Known for her snappy sense of style, Rachel teamed a pair of distressed cut-offs with a cap-sleeved cardigan and bright pink pom-pom-covered sandals.

Rachel's faced some serious heartache in the past month, with her engagement to Star Wards Episode III actor Hayden Christensen, 29, put on hold.

In June, the actress showed her ringless finger to Us Weekly on the red carpet in Hollywood. When asked how wedding plans were going, she said, 'No, no plans' and pointed to her bare hand. 'No nothing.'

A source said the couple were 'taking a break'.

Rachel and Hayden, who co-starred in 2008 action film Jumper are reportedly 'taking about a month off' before reviewing the situation.

The actress previously dated her co-star on The OC, Adam Brody for three years until 2006.

A long-time fashionista, it's not surprising Rachel hit the fashion district. In 2008 she launched her own fashion line through DKNY called Edie Rose. Most of her own fashion collection was lost when he house was burgled in 2009.

Perhaps she's still re-stocking her wardrobe now!

New Glee star aged just 18 had Botox to look 'fresh-faced' in preparation for TV debut

By Mail Foreign Service

Fresh-faced: Charice Pempengco, aged just 18, poses for a portrait in New York in April this year. She has admitted she had Botox so as to look more 'fresh' for her debut on hit U.S. TV show 'Glee'

Filipino singing sensation Charice Pempengco has had cosmetic treatment ready for her debut in the second series of the hit TV show 'Glee'.

The 18-year-old said she wanted to 'look fresh on camera' for her first appearance as a guest star on the musical comedy.

The 30-minute procedure was intended to make her 'naturally round face' more narrow, celebrity cosmetic surgeon Dr Vicki Belo said.

Charice, in the same interview with ABS-CBN television, said last week's face makeover was part of her big preparations 'to look fresh on camera' for 'Glee'.

She said: 'All people will be anticipating how will Charice look? Is she good enough to pit against [Glee character] Rachel Berry? So of course there is tremendous pressure.'

Rachel Berry is played by actress Lea Michele, who at age 23 is five years older than Charice.

Charice, who shot to fame after appearing on Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres's U.S. talk shows last year, will start filming next month.

In an earlier TV interview, she said she auditioned for 'Glee' in mid-June in Los Angeles and was thankful to have been accepted.

'Tremendous pressure': Actress Lea Michele in her role as Rachel Berry on the hit show Glee, in a publicity image released by Fox

'It's really a blessing,' she said, adding she was 'very proud to be an Asian, very proud to be Filipino.'

Dr. Malcolm Roth, president of New York's Society of Plastic Surgeons and director of plastic surgery at Maimonides Medical Center in New York said he wasn't sure how someone so young could benefit from Botox.

'You would think that the make-up people could take care of (any wrinkles she might have) or that they could take care of it in post-production,' he said.

But Dr Roth said there might be some benefits for on-camera teens in Hollywood.

'Some people do have hyper-active muscles and muscles are what create the wrinkles in certain types of expressions,' he said.

He added: 'It may be of some benefit for the camera, but I would be reticent to consider Botox for a normal 18-year-old.'

Charice was born Charmaine Clarice Relucio Pempengco and raised with her brother by a single mother.

She sang in local contests and appeared on TV talent shows in the Philippines and South Korea before she got her big break on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' aged 15.

She later appeared several times on the 'Oprah Winfrey Show' and credits the talk show host for helping push her career.

On the streets of Manila this week, some residents who follow Charice had mixed feelings about what she did with her face.

'I think it's OK for women to have procedures done, but Charice is too young. Does she need it?' said Patricia Carpio, a 21-year-old student.

For Myrna Lumanao, a 23-year-old seller in a doughnut stall, looking natural is better. 'I guess she can afford to have those procedures done because she has the money, but I wish she did not change her looks.'

Angelina Jolie dazzles in super short dress (but covers the secret inner thigh tattoo she had inked on for Brad Pitt)

Star quality: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt attended the LA premiere of her new film Salt today

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt took a break from saving the world to walk the red carpet at the premiere of her new film Salt in Los Angeles last night.

The golden couple, who have six children, lit up the Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood as they signed autographs and chatted with fans.

But Brad, 46, who recently shaved his long beard to the delight of his many fans, was clearly cast in the supporting role.

It was Angelina's time to shine in a dazzling black sequinned mini-dress that put her legs on show.

But the sequinned confection wasn't short enough to reveal the new tattoo she has on her inner thigh, a secret tribute to her partner.

Secret ink: While the actress' dress was incredibly short, her new inner thigh tattoo, which she had done 'for Brad', was kept hidden

The 35-year-old showed a hint of the ink in a recent photoshoot for Vanity Fair but declined to reveal what it said.

When quizzed about the etching last week, a coy Angelina would only say: ‘Um, it’s for Brad.’

The star now has a total of 14 tattoos, including the map co-ordinates detailing the countries of birth of her adopted children Maddox eight, Pax, six, and Zahara, five; and biological kids, Shiloh, four, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 23-months-old.

Her father Jon Voight also made a surprise appearance on the red carpet, along with her brother James Haven.

Leading man: Brad played the supportive partner for the occasion

Happy couple: The pair looked in very high spirits as they arrived

The famously fiery father and daughter recently reconciled after years of estrangement which began in 2001 when he said she had 'serious mental problems.'
Meanwhile, the actress is already thinking ahead to her next movie, which will see her take on the part of Cleopatra.

Elizabeth Taylor's portrayal of the iconic Egyptian queen in the 1963 movie earned critical acclaim, and Jolie said her take on Cleopatra will be very different.

She told the New Straits Times: 'I will play it differently to Elizabeth Taylor, but I could never be as lovely as she was.

The look of love: Brad couldn't take his eyes of the actress

Meet and greet: The star signed autographs for fans

Family affair: Angelina's father Jon Voight made a surprise appearance at the event along with her brother James Haven

'We are trying to uncover the truth about her as a leader and not just a sex symbol which she really wasn't - she didn't have many lovers, maybe only two, and they're men she had children with.'

She added: 'She was misunderstood and her life story was written wrongly. I always thought her life was very glamorous.

'Then I read her story and found a different side to her - that she was a mother, leader and an intellect who spoke five languages!

'Her upbringing also reflected her relationship with Rome - all that is much more interesting than what she was summed up to be.'

Salt hits screens in the US on July 23 and in the UK on August 20.

Katie Holmes dresses down to go shopping with Suri... and comes up short

Hitching a ride: Katie Holmes' hot pants revealed a little more leg than expected

She obviously didn't mind showing off a bit of leg.

But Katie Holmes may have revealed more than she bargained for as she climbed out of her car with her hot pants hitched up so high they disappeared beneath her denim shirt.

The actress, who is married to Tom Cruise, was using a day off to take the couple's daughter Suri shopping in Toronto.

The four-year-old has made frequent visits to the set in Canada where her mother is filming The Kennedys, an eight-hour mini-series to be broadcast on the History Channel next year.

Miss Holmes is co-starring as Jackie Kennedy alongside Greg Kinnear, who plays husband John F Kennedy.

But perhaps spending weeks in the role of the glamorous First Lady has affected the 31-year-old's sartorial judgment.

She teamed the casual shirt and daring hot pants with strappy high heels - probably better suited to a red carpet than a day out with a young child.

Holmes looked a lot more elegant as she left her apartment in Manhattan to attend the premiere of her new film The Extra Man.
