Missing me yet, Mike? Carrie Underwood wears thigh-high stockings and shorts (as her new husband plays hockey)

Thighs the limit: Carrie Underwood performed on the Today show in New York in shorts and over-the-knee stockings

They've been married less than three weeks but Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher are already

Carrie Underwood showed her hockey-playing husband Mike Fisher what he's missing during a performance on the Today show in New York.

American Idol winner Underwood, 27, worked a 'naughty schoolgirl' look, in short shorts, a fitted blazer and a loose tie, along with a pair of sexy thigh-high stockings and studded shoe-boots.

These boots were made for walkin': The country singer kept her balance in incredibly high heels

Later she changed into the more casual ensemble of denim shorts and a T-shirt, which showed off her sun-kissed legs.

During the performance of Cowboy Cassanova, Underwood could not resist flashing her new wedding ring at the crowd.

It has been only 19 days since Underwood and Fisher got married, but they have already been parted.

Happily married: Underwood flashes her wedding ring at the crowd

Arriving at LaGuardia airport in New York yesterday in advance of her appearance on The Today Show, Underwood was accompanied by her dog, Ace.

Work commitments mean her hockey player husband Mike Fisher, is in Toronto with his team Ottawa Senators.

American Idol winner Underwood, 27, looked tanned and relaxed in skinny jeans and heels after her honeymoon in Tahiti and didn't seem too concerned that her husband was across the border.

At least she has a sense of humour about the situation.

Blogging on her official fan club website on Wednesday she wrote: 'Married life is pretty much like dating life.

'My husband is back in Canada...story of my life!'

Fisher has opened up about their wedding to Canadian newspaper the Ottawa Sun.

He told the newspaper: 'The whole weekend is almost like a blur. The ceremony was really nice, the pastor did a great job, the reception was a lot of fun.

'The whole day was great - it was everything we both wanted it to be.'

He added: 'Just to have everyone close to us around was a big deal.

'A wedding's not nearly as much fun without those close family and friends with you.'

The 30-year-old said he didn't suffer from nerves before the ceremony because he was too busy thinking about his wife-to-be, and despite currently being hundreds of miles from Underwood he is enjoying life as a newlywed.

Flying solo: Underwood is currently separated from her hockey player husband who is in Toronto with his team, the Ottawa Senators

He described it as: 'Awesome...I'm with my best friend and I love her to death.
'There's nothing better, for sure.'

Underwood and Fisher married in front of 230 guests at the Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia on July 10, before heading to the island of Bora Bora on July 12.

At the wedding ceremony Underwood wore two gowns by designer Monique L'Huillier

Watt a transformation: Naomi goes from barefoot mum to New York fashionista

So chic: Naomi Watts poses for the Ann Taylor autumn collection

We've got used to seeing Naomi Watts racing around New York with her children, sometimes barefoot, wearing little make-up but still looking fabulous.

But just in case you'd forgotten that the 21 Grams actress can still glam up with the best of them, this stunning photo shoot was released by the New York fashion chain Ann Taylor today.

The 41-year-old actress, who has two sons Alexander, three, and Samuel Kai, 18 months, has been announced as the face of Ann Taylor's autumn collection.

The adverts feature Naomi in what Ann Taylor describes as 'timeless pieces including our iconic leopard print, perfect little black dresses, gorgeous statement jewellery and irresistible coats.'

The collection is inspired by Ernest Hemingway's A Moveable Feast, memoirs of Twenties Paris, and focuses on mixing 'European sophistication with timeless American style'.

Naomi and her partner Liev Schreiber have come under media scrutiny in the last couple of months with rumours flying that they are on the verge of breaking up.

Alexander, whom they call Sasha, and Samuel's parents never married, but Liev's spokesperson has vehemently denied that the couple's relationship is on the rocks

Liev, 42, has been starring alongside Scarlett Johansson on Broadway in Arthur Miller's A View From the Bridge. He also appears in the recently released film Salt, with Angelina Jolie.

Naomi has two new films coming out this year. The Oscar-nominated actress stars in Woody Allen's You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger, and in Fair Game, where she plays Valerie Plame, the CIA agent whose cover was revealed by White House officials.

Take 35! How Carla kept fluffing her bit part in Woody Allen's film by hogging the camera...again

Use your loaf: Owen Wilson and Carla Bruni-Sarkozy on set during the shooting of Woody Allen film Midnight in Paris

As movie sequences go, it is the essence of simplicity.

Attractive woman walks into small grocery store. Attractive woman then exits grocery store clutching baguette.

Alas, the lady tasked with performing the role was Carla Bruni, first lady of France and actress of rather limited experience.

Her director? Woody Allen, perfectionism personified.

Take some direction, sweetie: Director Woody Allen decides it's time to get a little hands on as he offers the French first lady some guidance

Another pause for thought: Carla seems to be pondering her motivation, while Woody is clearly mindful of her bodyguards

Their collaboration in his latest film, Midnight In Paris, duly descended into farce when she was told to perform the same scene a staggering 35 times.

It wasn't a case of Miss Bruni fluffing her lines - she didn't have any. The problem, apparently, was that she kept staring at the camera - as an exasperated Allen and her husband, President Nicolas Sarkozy, looked on.

'She seemed to be struggling to avoid looking directly into the camera, which didn't impress Woody,' said an onlooker in Paris. 'The baguette scene could not have been simpler, but she wanted to make it a big one. That's why she had to keep shooting it over and over again.'

Pointed argument: As Woody draws on all of his directorial skill to coach Carla through her scene, it looked like tempers occasionally flared

Don't blame poor Owen: As the light fades, Woody, Carla and now Owen continue to discuss the simple scene

'Woody was prompting Carla constantly, although he was very careful to show a lot of respect, especially as she was surrounded by security guards.'

The scene, shot in the heart of the Left Bank, was finally concluded after a number of animated exchanges between Allen, in fisherman's hat, and Miss Bruni.

Hollywood star Owen Wilson, who appears in the romantic comedy alongside 42-year- old Miss Bruni, was on hand to offer support to the one-time supermodel and pop singer.

Loyal support: Carla - cigarette in hand - is seen talking to her husband, French president Nicolas Sarkozy, as darkness falls on the film set

It is, of course, not the first time she has revealed a tendency to monopolise the camera. On a visit to London last month she turned her full feline charm on the photographers, with a husky 'bonjour'.

She glanced at the lenses at every opportunity, tossing her hai r and l icking her l ips seductively.

Miss Bruni, who plays a museum curator in the Allen movie, had a small role in the 1994 film Pret-a-Porter and the 1998 film Paparazzi, each time playing herself.

In November, when she announced her plans to accept Allen's offer of a role, she said: 'I'm not at all an actress. Maybe I'll be absolutely terrible.'

Revealed: The last minute preparations for Chelsea Clinton's £3.2m wedding

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtM9pBcu2vUendofvid
[starttext]
By Daily Mail Reporter

Luxury location: Preparations are well underway at Astor Courts in New Jersey, where Chelsea Clinton will marry fiance Marc Mezvinsky on Saturday

When you are spending £3.2million on a one-day event you want nothing left to chance.

And so with four days to go until Chelsea Clinton marries Marc Mezvinsky, preparations for the ceremony and reception are already nearly complete.

Aerial photos reveal huge temporary structures securely in place and a team of workers swarming over the tree-lined country mansion in New Jersey.

The union of Miss Clinton, 30, and Marc Mezvinsky, 32, will take place at Astor Courts, the former estate of millionaire John Jacob Astor IV in Rhinebeck, New York.

The 50-acre estate is set along with Hudson River, against a mountainous backdrop.
It is in the small village of Rhinebeck, population 4,000, located 100 miles north of Manhattan.

The picturesque village has thrown itself behind Chelsea, welcoming it's brief moment in the spotlight.

Businesses have been getting into the swing of things, with banners bearing messages of congratulations hung inside cafe windows and outside shops.

Last minute preparations: Chelsea Clinton is spotted leaving a New York gym

Of course, when your father is a former U.S. President and your mother is the Secretary of State, having your wedding reception in the local pub isn’t an option.

No expense will be spared at what will be the American society event of the year, with the equivalent of £6,400 being spent on each of the 500 guests.

At least £400,000 has been spent on setting up the tents and structures surrounding the mansion.

Another £70,000 is going on tables and crockery and a staggering £320,000 is being spent on flowers, thought to be Casablanca lillies and orchids.

Miss Clinton’s dress, designed by Oscar de la Renta or Vera Wang, is rumoured to be a cool £16,000, and the jewellery she wears on the day is worth £160,000. The cake alone will cost £7,000 and security a further £130,000.

Guests are even being treated to porcelain portable toilets that flush, play music and have hot running water.

Away from prying eyes: Chelsea has chosen a rural location

Miss Clinton is expected to hire between four and six Portaloo trailers - at a total cost of about £10,000.

Estimates put the cost at between £1.9million and £3.2million, far more than most celebrity weddings.

When Liza Minnelli and David Gest tied the knot, it cost £1.6million, while Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes spent £1.2million.

‘This will definitely be the biggest wedding of the year,’ said Donnie Brown, a celebrity wedding planner.

And as the big day draws near, it seems Miss Clinton has been hitting the gym to look and feel her best.

The rings will cost £3,500 each, alcohol and food for the main event and after party will come to £100,000, the equivalent of £200 per person, although the cake will cost £7,000 on its own with sugar flowers and fondants increasing the price.

Even mundane items like the stationery - invites, programmes and menus - will push the budget up, and are expected to come to a total of £32,000.

No expense has been spared with organisational matters either, and the rehearsal dinner alone cost £16,000 and a huge £320,000 has been earmarked for transporting guests to the event

The wedding will take place at Astor Courts in Rhinebeck, New York: 500 guests are expected to attend

As for the toilets, they will be equipped with sinks with hot water, vanities for the ladies, marble interior and skylights with a male and female attendant in each trailer.

Wedding planner Claudia Hanlin said the final bill would be pushed up by the high quality demanded across the board.

‘Food and booze are already expensive, but the Clintons are reportedly hiring multiple vendors, which is one reason the food estimate gets so high,’ she said.

On the plus side, it looks like both sets of parents can afford it.

Mezvinsky is an investment banker at Goldman Sachs and the child of two politician parents, Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky and Edward M. Mezvinsky, both former members of Congress.

Marc and Chelsea were teenage friends in Washington DC and they became closer as undergraduates at Stanford University, California.

Hilary Clinton looked relaxed as she arrived outside Chelsea's apartment (left): She was accompanied by an assistant carrying a large dress bag

Bill and Hillary Clinton are also not shy of a dollar - since leaving office as president he has made a fortune from the lecture circuit and she is US Secretary of State, which carries an annual salary of £120,000.

Between 2000 and 2007 they earned a reported £70million.

The Clintons have have done their best to keep the guest list at a manageable number, forcing them to exclude many longstanding Democratic supporters.

The happy couple: Chelsea and Marc Mezvinsky have been friend's since they were teenagers

A seat will doubtless be saved for President Obama should he attend - currently there are no plans for him to do so - but apart from that only those with a personal connection to the bride and groom have been invited.

Among the celebrities expected to attend, according to reports, are Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg and Barbra Streisand, as well as former prime minister John Major.

Major donors to the party and dozens of acquaintances have been snubbed as the family tried to keep the list under 500 people.

'We love you all but this is her wedding,' Hillary Clinton said.

Getting into the spirit: Local businesses have started to erect congratulations messages ahead of the big day

Horse brush and airbrush: Zara looks hot to trot thanks to a little bit of 'post-production' trickery

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gj642Uy1qnIendofvid
By Tamara Abraham and Arthur Martin

Brushed up: Zara Phillips in the Musto collection adverts. A photo shoot source admits that 'post-production' techniques were used

Introducing Zara Phillips... clothes horse.

Princess Anne's 29-year-old daughter adopted a variety of poses to publicise her new range of equestrian clothing.

And it seems that even members of the royal family are not immune to that modern fashion phenomenon - the airbrush.

The normally rosy-cheeked Miss Phillips admitted yesterday that the moody images had probably been subject to a degree of change.

Royal model: Zara poses in jackets carrying her initials and eventing number

'They usually airbrush out the horse's dribble on your arm,' she joked.

But while a source close to the project said a 'post-production' process had been used to sharpen the images, he insisted they had not been subject to the kind of heavy manipulation often carried out when celebrities appear on the cover of glossy magazines.

The pictures were taken during a day-long photo shoot at 12th century Berkeley Castle in Gloucestershire.

Miss Phillips, who is 11th in line to the throne and is engaged to England rugby star Mike Tindall, modelled a range of outfits from the Musto brand.

The cheapest item in the range is a long-sleeve riding top that costs £35.

The most expensive is a fleece-lined riding jacket at £200. A hooded top is £60, as is a micro fleece. At the launch of the collection, the reigning eventing world champion was asked if she felt comfortable with the title of 'athlete, princess and model'.

Horse not included: Zara, who is an ambassador for Musto, also appears in the brand's new winter advertising campaign

'Athlete is good - I think the others can just get dropped,' she replied. 'I am not a princess anyway, so I find that quite weird to be labelled that.'

On modelling, she said: 'I start off not wanting to do it in the morning and it gets better through the day. There are always some pictures I don't like.'

The Musto collection was two years in the making, and spans the label's equestrian, shooting and country lifestyle ranges.

Musto said Zara had been closely involved with the project at every stage, from design through to testing the final products in the field.

Natural choice: The Queen's granddaughter posed for the images in an appropriately aristocratic-looking country estate

'I tried and tested everything,' she said. 'With design, the products were already there - I just tweaked a few things, like put in a longer cut for the riding jackets, so it won’t expose the back if you’re riding in the elements.

'It’s less to do with mainstream fashion and more about practicality and engineering something that works in training, but which you wouldn’t be embarrassed to be seen in, in public.'

Each item from Zara's line, which will go on sale next month, will bear her initials and eventing number - 176 - by way of a logo.

Natural beauty: Zara, as she usually looks, at the launch of the Musto line

The Queen's granddaughter, who is already an ambassador for Musto, also appears in the label's upcoming advertising campaign.

On its website it said of the collaboration: 'Zara has been wearing Musto products for as long as she can remember.

'It seemed only natural that the 2009 World Eventing Champion should design a range of technical clothing which is both functional and stylish.'

Zara, who is hoping to represent Great Britain at the 2012 Olympics in London, said that she was excited about news that Stella McCartney would be designing the new kit for Team GB

'Hooray! Nicer outfits,' she said.

But she admitted that she is yet to find the right horse to compete with.
She was forced to miss the previous two Games after her horse, Toytown, suffered injuries.

She said: 'I’m really excited for 2012. It will be awesome to ride at home, but I just have to get there first.'

Musto, which was established 45 years ago by British Olympic sailor Keith Musto, is one of the world's leading sailing and country sports brands.

It is renowned for developing high-performance fabrics that can withstand extreme weather conditions.

Bieber fever: But if you want to outrun a horde of hysterical girls, Justin, maybe you should pick something faster than a Segway

Bieber mania! Justin Bieber was chased down by hordes of crazed teenage girls in Glendale, Arizona last Sunday

Bieber mania has hit the States!

It was like a scene from the 1964 Beatles movie Hard Day's Night as legions of Beliebers hunted and chased down their pop idol on the street.

The 16-year-old tried to escape, zipping off on a Segway, but to no avail and he was eventually cornered by his crazed fans.

Trying to escape: Bieber attempted to make a run for it aboard his Segway

Bieber had been enjoying a little downtime with some friends when he was spotted by a group of teenage girls last Sunday.

The singer was riding around the Westgate market place on his Segway in Glendale, Arizona, where he was scheduled to perform as part of his My World tour.

Despite his best attempts at escape, when he was caught Bieber was a good sport, taking the time to pose for pictures and sign autographs.

All the crazy action was caught by an onlooker on his phone who then posted the hilarious video on You Tube.

Bieber's fans are known for being particularly passionate when it comes to the pursuit of their idol.

In hot pursuit: Bieber's fans are not ones to give up the chase

When promoting his album My World, the teen sensation was scheduled to appear at Long Island's Roosevelt Field Mall but the event had to be cancelled after the crowds became so out of control.

More than 35 units from the Nassau County and Garden City police departments had to be deployed and fans were physically injured.

Then just last April a scheduled performance by Bieber was cancelled by Australian police after several girls were hurt in a crowd rush.

In a Twitter message after the cancellation Bieber wrote: 'I want to make this clear...I don't cancel.

'I woke up this morning to the police cancelling the show for safety reasons. I'm very happy about the welcome and the love from around the world, but I want everyone to remember that my fans' safety comes first.

'At the end of the day I want you all to enjoy the music.'

Cornered: Bieber's fans won through in the end, cornering the star, who posed for photos and signed autographs

Hard Day's Night: The Beatles were chased by crazed fans in the opening scene of their 1964 hit movie

The singer's tour has been a sell-out success, forcing him to add a second leg, with shows scheduled until Christmas.

Bieber mania is rife with the star's fans turning out in their droves to catch a glimpse of the fresh-faced heart-throb.

The performer is taking fame in his stride, though. He recently told The Today Show's Matt lauer: 'It's pretty crazy that now I go out and I'm always asked for autographs and stuff, but it's kind of what I signed up for.'

And Bieber's determined to not be a flash in the pan, going on to say: 'I want to be an artist that doesn't just come out with one song and they're done.

'I want to be able to, you know, like you said, have longevity - have my fans grow with me and not just be a teen artist but kind of move up and be an adult artist.'

Acting chops: Bieber will be appearing as a teen delinquent in an upcoming episode of the crime drama CSI

The Canadian-born teen was discovered by music manager Scooter Braun after he spotted some performances that Bieber had posted on You Tube.

Braun is well known in the hip hop community, having represented Snoop Dogg, Kevin Federline and Asher Roth.

He introduced Bieber to R&B superstar Usher who signed him to his label, subsequently landing Bieber with a recording contract with Island records.

Bieber is currently branching out, making a foray into acting. He is set to appear in an upcoming episode of the crime drama CSI, playing a teen delinquent.

True to form Twitter addict Bieber posted pictures of himself on set, along with the message: 'BIG DAY today....excited. doing something new.

'CSI premieres on Thursday, Sept 23rd on CBS ... and I told you I was a BAD MAN!!'

Katie Price lands herself in more controversy as she says divorced children are 'lucky'

Summer read: Katie Price launches her new book Paradise at HMV in London today surrounded by muscular, half-naked men

She's not exactly known for choosing her words carefully.

But even Katie Price may have gone too far this time when she said children that come from divorced families are 'lucky'.

Appearing on This Morning yesterday, the glamour model said they were probably better off than those whose parents were still together as they got 'extra' presents.

Speaking to hosts Eamon Holmes and Ruth Langsford, Katie, who was at HMV in London today to launch her new book Paradise, said: 'Any child that has parents who are divorced are lucky. They get extra Christmas presents, birthday presents and extra trips.'

And she added that she was glad that she split from Peter Andre while her children - Harvey, seven, Junior, five and three-year-old Princess - were young, as they will 'forget' about the split when they are older.

Number one: Katie sticks her finger up in the hope her book will do well, before throwing a sexy pose to the camera

She said:: 'I revert back to when my mum and dad split up. I was three or four and I can't even remember it.

'So really it was good it happened at that age because if it had happened when the kids were a bit older then I think it probably could have affected them.'

Katie, 32, who appeared on the show to promote her new book, then compared herself to a 'chipmunk' after a recent bout of Botox.

She said: 'I look like a chipmunk today!

Lucky: Katie Price, appearing on This Morning yesterday, said children from divorced families are on to a winner

Sofa chat: Katie talks to Eamon Holmes and Ruth Langsford about divorce, her pop career and Botox

'Do you know, on my Hen we all had filler, Botox, lip, and I said, "No, I’m not doing it again!" They’re like, "Oh we did Kate", and I’m like, "Oh go on, I’ll have a little bit."

'But when I had it done… it looked awful but it’s all going down now. The thing is, it doesn’t last forever which is good. But no, I still look like a chipmunk.

'Yeah, it’s mad, but then I blame my friends and my family because we all did it.'

Furry rodent: Katie said a recent Botox treatment had left her looking like a 'chipmunk'

Katie then went on to declare that that she plans to carry on singing and wants to release another single - despite her recent one being a huge chart flop.

She said: 'I am going to bring out something again. I don’t want to do music as a career, but I love singing. I’m not a singer but I love doing it.'

And Katie, whose latest book is book is the number one fiction hard back seller after less than a week on sale, slammed her critics who said her popularity is on the decline.

She said: 'I think it’s absolute nonsense. My signings – I did one on Saturday for my equestrian range – it was absolutely packed, it was brilliant, it was fantastic.

Everything’s up, my books are selling really well. But you know, it’s the dramas that the papers write.'

Extra presents: Katie, seen here with daughter Princess last week, said she is lucky as she gets two Christmases and two birthdays

It's Mrs Bloom! Miranda Kerr makes a dazzling return to work after honeymoon

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6vRf2OvRVIendofvid

[starttext]

By Daily Mail Reporter

Back to business: Miranda Kerr poses at Los Angeles' Milk Studios yesterday, a day after returning from her honeymoon

She'd only just returned from her honeymoon with new husband Orlando Bloom, but it was business as usual for model Miranda Kerr.

The Australian Victoria's Secret star posed for a fashion shoot in Los Angeles, the day after returning from a romantic getaway in the Caribbean

Miranda looked stunning in a gold embroidered coat, black hot pants and black lace-up boots.

Stunning: The model showed off her toned legs in a pair of black hot pants and high-heeled boots

And the 27-year-old's professional pout and glammed up look was a far cry from her fresh-faced smile the previous evening, as she walked through LAX airport with her new husband.

The couple looked tanned and happy as they jetted into Los Angeles International Airport, and couldn't stop smiling as they strolled through arrivals.

Orlando, 33, and his new bride are believed to have spent nights in Anguilla, the exclusive island of Mustique and St Lucia.

Newlyweds: Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr can't contain their happiness as they jet into Los Angeles International Airport from their honeymoon yesterday

But Australian-born Miranda unwittingly flashed her wedding bling to the photographers as she put her hand to her chest.

Lord Of The Rings star Orlando and Miranda, were married about ten days ago in Los Angeles, only a few weeks after they announced their engagement.

It is believed that none of their family members were present.

Their sudden wedding sparked speculation that the model is three months' pregnant, the rumours fuelled by the quickie nuptials along with Miranda’s cancellation of her role in an upcoming fashion show.

Blushing bride: Miranda shows off her wedding bling - and her glowing complexion - as she and Orlando head out of the airport

Sparkly: Miranda displays the huge diamond on top of her wedding ring

But in a statement explaining why she'd pulled out of an appearance at the Australian department store David Jones, she said: 'David Jones very graciously released me during this period so we could celebrate an intimate ceremony and honeymoon together.

'I am enormously grateful to David Jones to have been given this time to enjoy such a special moment in my life.'

But well known Australian columnist Jonathan Moran insisted that Kerr has told family, friends and business associates that she and Bloom, 33, are expecting.

Kerr also told a Sydney newspaper earlier this month: ‘I have always been very open about wanting to be a mother one day. And I’ve always thought Orlando would be a great dad.’

'I've always wanted kids, so someday, eventually, yes, it will happen.
'My ideal situation would be to live on a farm in a solar-powered house with a hammock and a vegetable patch.

'When this is all over, that's where I'll be.'

But today, Miranda's spokeswoman said as far as she was aware, the pregnancy reports were just 'rumour and speculation'.

Mrs Bloom: Miranda, seen here in a campaign for Victoria's Secret, cancelled her commitments in her native Australia so she could enjoy her honeymoon

Orlando has also won over his in-laws with Miranda's mother Therese telling People.com: 'They truly are a gorgeous couple, are very much in love and bring out the best in each other.

'We are thrilled to welcome Orlando into the Kerr family.'

Miranda's grandmother Ann spoke of her delight when she found out they had got engaged and added: ‘We are so happy for her, they are well suited and the family is delighted for them.

‘They are good together. They laugh and giggle. When we are all together I watch them and see that he’s very attentive to Miranda.’

The Pirates Of The Caribbean star, 33, quietly began dating Miranda, 27, in 2007.
They briefly separated in 2008, according to sources at the time, but quickly reconciled.

That same year he flew to her hometown of Sydney, Australia, to meet her parents
