Carrie Underwood showed her hockey-playing husband Mike Fisher what he's missing during a performance on the Today show in New York.

American Idol winner Underwood, 27, worked a 'naughty schoolgirl' look, in short shorts, a fitted blazer and a loose tie, along with a pair of sexy thigh-high stockings and studded shoe-boots.

Later she changed into the more casual ensemble of denim shorts and a T-shirt, which showed off her sun-kissed legs.

During the performance of Cowboy Cassanova, Underwood could not resist flashing her new wedding ring at the crowd.

It has been only 19 days since Underwood and Fisher got married, but they have already been parted.

Arriving at LaGuardia airport in New York yesterday in advance of her appearance on The Today Show, Underwood was accompanied by her dog, Ace.

Work commitments mean her hockey player husband Mike Fisher, is in Toronto with his team Ottawa Senators.

American Idol winner Underwood, 27, looked tanned and relaxed in skinny jeans and heels after her honeymoon in Tahiti and didn't seem too concerned that her husband was across the border.

At least she has a sense of humour about the situation.

Blogging on her official fan club website on Wednesday she wrote: 'Married life is pretty much like dating life.

'My husband is back in Canada...story of my life!'

Fisher has opened up about their wedding to Canadian newspaper the Ottawa Sun.

He told the newspaper: 'The whole weekend is almost like a blur.The ceremony was really nice, the pastor did a great job, the reception was a lot of fun.

'The whole day was great - it was everything we both wanted it to be.'

He added: 'Just to have everyone close to us around was a big deal.

'A wedding's not nearly as much fun without those close family and friends with you.'

The 30-year-old said he didn't suffer from nerves before the ceremony because he was too busy thinking about his wife-to-be, and despite currently being hundreds of miles from Underwood he is enjoying life as a newlywed.

He described it as: 'Awesome...I'm with my best friend and I love her to death.
'There's nothing better, for sure.'

Underwood and Fisher married in front of 230 guests at the Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia on July 10, before heading to the island of Bora Bora on July 12.

Gravia idol singing group takes on baseball theme

Proving that Japanese pop groups can come in all different shapes and sizes, popular sexy gravia idol singing group Sexy☆All Stars released a new album titled “Sexy Koshien” on July 21st. The album splits the group into teams focusing on their various assets; Breast Kingdom, Yankee Breasts, Lovely Slender Leg Squadron, and Umore’s Cleavage Troops. All the rare songs of these units will be collected for the album.

The album also acted as the debut for the “Koshien Breast” members, which were given a baseball team theme. The members all took different positions on the baseball field; Teshima Yukata (pitcher), MAO (catcher), Houzyou Mami (first base), Miwa Nagaoka (second base), Sukegawa Marie (third base), Megumi Haruno (short stop), Sunouchi Asuka (left field), NAON (center field), Yuka Kuroda (right field), Mouri Yuki (sub player) for a grand total of ten positions.

To really hit the point home, the group boasts that their combined bust size is over 922cm.

The group has several songs from each unit on it such as “Koshien Breasts” and the “Breasts Rooter’s Song.” The release will also come with a DVD that includes videos of the 13 songs.

Although this isn’t a release that is likely to appeal to the mainstream, you have to give them credit for coming up with some creative names and hilarious concepts for their release.

Filipino singer, Charice Pempengco released her album in Japan earlier this month, Charice, and has started doing promotions for her album. She arrived in Japan on 7/17 and appeared on Space Shower TV, was mentioned on Sukkuri and this morning did an interview with live streaming on J-wave.

Charice’s album debuted at #8 on Oricon (7/7) and ranked #1 on Amazon Japan’s Best Sellers list for the week of 7/13. For her Japan debut, Charice’s team went for a different concept than her American album concept. They wanted to make her mature, yet cute. Warner Music Japan (WMJ) re-packaged her album with new photo’s and included extras that have a cover of Ayaka’s “Mikazuki” (Crescent Moon).

Gackt has announced that there will be 4 additional stages for “YELLOW FRIED CHICKENz” national tour “kirameki otoko juku (煌☆雄兎狐塾)” at the Zepp Tokyo on August 23rd, 24th, 28th and 29th.

Although “kirameki otokojuku (煌☆雄兎狐塾)” is a boys limited tour, both boys and girls can attend “Kirameki otokojuku ~danjyo konyoku hadaka matsuri~ FINAL 2 DAYS (煌☆雄兎狐塾 ～男女混欲肌嘩祭～ FINAL 2DAYS)” on August 23rd and 24th.

However, “Kirameki otokojuku ~dansonjohi hadaka matsuri~ SEASON2 (煌☆雄兎狐塾 ～男尊女秘肌嘩祭～ SEASON2)” on the 28th will have separated areas for boys and girls (1st floor for boys and 2nd floor for girls), and they will be prohibited to enter the other area.

Moreover, “Kirameki otokojuku ~danjyo konyoku mizugi matsuri~ (煌☆雄兎狐塾 ～男女混欲美濡戯祭～)” on the 29th will have a dress code where everybody has to show up in bathing suits (Boys: trunks or bikini and Girls: Bikini’s) with beach sandals (or sneakers). Some pop stars try their hardest to disguise their miming on stage, but not Katie Price.

The glamour model, turned fashion designer, turned author, turned pop singer carried out a brazen performance of Free To Love Again on GMTV yesterday morning and admitted she wasn’t even singing.

‘It makes me realise how hard it is to perform and sing, so credit to the performers out there’, she told presenter Emma Crosby.

But at least the star admitted she’s not the greatest singer and joked that the media would no doubt pick up on the fact that she mimed.

Unfortunately even her miming leaves a lot to be desired as she carried on mouthing the lyrics after the track had finished playing.

The 32-year-old’s choice of outfit made sure attention was fixed on her, even if chart success is unlikely.

Along with her admissions regarding her singing, she revealed that she neither wrote nor produced the track.

‘I’m not a singer, this is just something I do for fun….I’m not interested in chart positions or number ones, I’m doing this purely for fun…whether people like it or not I’m doing it’, she said.

Luckily she doesn’t mind how well the song does, because chart figures showed today the surgically-enhanced star will fail to even make the top 40.

Despite her promotional appearances this week to plug the single, midweek chart placings show she is on course to make only number 59 following its release on Monday.

To justify the flop, she told press: ‘I’m doing it because I enjoy doing it, it’s not like my main job and I need to get a number one to get signed up by a record company.

Gennaro Castaldo of music retailer HMV said: ‘Katie Price is obviously a hugely successful celebrity who knows how to engage with her fans, particularly when it comes to her books, DVDs and other merchandise, but some people seem to be drawing a line when it comes to her singing.’

Price is still determined to perform at G-A-Y in London though and isn’t letting her lack of singing talent get her down.

Her debut solo single follows her duet with Peter Andre in 2006 with A Whole New World and had also tried to represent the UK for Eurovision with her song Not Just Anybody but struggled to hit the right notes.

Daisuke from “Daisuke to Kuro no injatachi” passes away

Vocalist Daisuke (Oshida Daisuke) of ”Daisuke to Kuro no injatachi“, passed away on the 15th.

Previously, Daisuke was a member of visual-kei band “Kagerou“, which disbanded in 2007, and was also in “the studs“, who stopped their activities in summer 2009.

The cause of death has not been revealed yet.

A message to the fans from the studs:
“To the fans and affiliates,

We regret to inform all fans and affiliates that Daisuke was laid to rest on July 15, 2010. In respect of the wishes of his family the funeral procession will be carried out with his closest relatives only. We thank you deeply for all your support for Daisuke up to now. Our utmost and heartfelt condolences go out to everyone.”

“Daisuke to Kuro no injatachi” just released their first single “Honrou” on June 21st and they were planning to release their second single “Iya” on July 21st.

It's taken more than a little patience from Take That's army of female fans.

But last night, 15 years after he quit the band for solo superstardom, it was confirmed that Robbie Williams has rejoined the group after finally healing the rift with the other members.

The singer left millions of teenage girls in tears by walking out on the chart-topping group at the height of their fame in 1995.

A statement from the band last night said: 'The rumours are true... Take That: the original line-up, have written and recorded a new album for release later this year.'

The record, as yet untitled, will be released in November.

It is then expected Williams will join his bandmates - Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Jason Orange and Mark Owen - for a huge stadium tour next summer.

His return is initially said to be for one year.

The band members could each earn £10million from the reunion.

Last night Williams said: 'I get embarrassingly excited when the five of us are in a room. It feels like coming home.'

'Now the reality of the five of us making a record together feels like a dream.'

Jason Orange said: 'Flippin' brilliant, absolutely brilliant. Life is beautifully strange sometimes.'

The five stars met in New York last September, in the aftermath of Owen's stag party.

Shortly afterwards all of the band secretly wrote and recorded the six songs which set the foundation for the forthcoming album.

Between them, Take That and Williams have sold more than 80million albums, notching up 13 No. 1 albums and 17 No. 1 singles.


Their new album will be released exactly 20 years since the band first sang live on TV in 1990.


The end came in 1995 after a fallout over Williams' drug-taking and a conflict with Barlow over musical direction.

Williams' became Britain's biggest solo star, scoring huge hits with Angels and Rock DJ.

But when Take That - who themselves split in 1996 a year after Williams left - reformed in 2005, the quartet topped the charts again, while Williams' career floundered.

There was a thawing in relations and last November he joined his former bandmates on-stage at the Children In Need concert at the Royal Albert Hall.

DIR EN GREY announces North American tour

Japanese powerhouse rock group DIR EN GREY has officially announced a US leg to their recent tour. It will take them to fifteen different cities across the United States and Canada starting in Toronto on August 23rd and ending in Seattle on September 12th. They will not be alone this time and will be sharing the stage with Finnish Symphonic metal band Apocalyptica.

This isn’t the first time the band has had an American tour so many fans will be glad to see DIR EN GREY returning to the country. The tour will follow up the recently announced lives in the United Kingdom and Russia at the beginning of August. DIR EN GREY just wrapped up a two year tour in Japan for their album UROBOROS at the beginning of the year and released a CD/DVD set of the tour in celebration.
